Models of the Church

Now that we have discussed each model, I would like you to take the following online quiz.

  This quiz is far from fool proof, meaning it has weaknesses, but I think it will challenge you to consider what model you have a tendency to be moved by. If you don't understand a question research the words using google in another browser window and give the quiz a good effort.  When you are done I want you to copy your results as a blogpost on your page, not as a comment to this post.  When you post your results give a 3-4 sentence minimum evaluation of what the results came back as, do you agree with the results? why or why not?

I've taken the quiz several times now and each time I have put something a little diffrent as I have read each question and been able to answer some questions in a few different ways.  Here are the results from when I took it today and below that I will post from when I took it a month ago (I am sure that I will not always lean towards these models in the same way my whole life).

Your model of the church is Mystical Communion, which includes both People of God and Body of Christ. The church is essentially people in union with Christ and the Father through the Holy Spirit. Both lay people and clergy are drawn together in a family of faith. This model can exalt the church beyond what is appropriate, but can be supplemented with other models.

The Holy Spirit moves the individual to belief in Jesus Christ and to do the will of the Father by sharing this message with others. As with other models, the narrowness of this model could be supplemented by drawing on other models.
